Thematic Sections

We are pleased to invite thematic sections proposed by guest editors in our regular CJPE issues!

Thematic sections are topic-based collections of three or more articles on a particular evaluation area or topic domain and make a significant contribution to evaluation theory and practice. Thematic sections may be edited by a guest editor(s) with the support of the regular Editorial Team. Typically the theme is introduced by the guest editor(s) in an introductory article and a discussion/closing piece

Proposals

Proposals for thematic sections must be submitted to editor@evaluationcanada.ca or cjpe@evaluationcanada.ca. Proposals may be structured according to our instructions

The proposal will be considered by selected members of the Editorial Board for the Journal. Approval must be received from the editor before a call for papers is released.

Recruitment of Authors

Guest editors may recruit authors using a call for papers. Alternatively, guest editors may actively recruit known authors to submit a contribution to the collection.

CJPE is a bilingual journal; we suggest guest editors encourage and welcome articles submissions for the thematic section in both official languages.

Peer Review Process

Guest editors are welcome to facilitate the peer review process independently, or with support from the CJPE Editorial Team. The technical process details will be determined through conversation after the thematic section proposal is accepted.
